Hi - thanks for checking me out!
Born and bred outside Cleveland, Ohio, I’ve been in the salon industry for over 20 years and a stylist in New York City since 2005. I specialize in low maintenance haircuts and color - ready-to-wear hair for city life.
My approach is honest, realistic, intuitive yet technical. My focus is on easy, adaptable styles which are age-confident and inclusive. I always consider the natural state of the hair and honor the details that complement each individual. I’ve been told that my haircuts “plan for the future while cutting in the present”.
While hair cutting is my thing, I’m also experienced with hair coloring and various hair coloring techniques. I will explore the best options for your hair, upkeep and lifestyle. While I appreciate bold hair coloring such as vivid trends or dramatic hair color changes with every visit, my color focus is mainly on gray coverage, lived-in color and natural looking highlights.
I’m so appreciative to have a faithful clientele who’ve continued to follow me throughout the years. While most of my clients remain local from the five boroughs, I’ve several who continue to follow me since their departure from Gotham city. From Connecticut, Long Island, New Jersey, and Upstate NY to California, Texas and everywhere inbetween.
I’m also grateful for the several notable people who I’ve had the privilege of cutting and styling. A few of these are; Al Pacino, Janeane Garafalo, Nikki Glaser, Carrie Coon (Gilded Age, Fargo, Gone Girl), Frankie Shaw (SMILF, Mr. Robot, 2 Broke Girls), Zoë Winters (Succession, The Good Fight, Madam Secretary), Mark Webber (Scott Pilgrim vs the World, Broken Flowers, Drive Me Crazy), Cara Buono (Stranger Things, Mad Men), Anjali (Kattradhu Thamizh, Angadi Theru), Eleanor Friedberger (The Fiery Furnaces).
My work beyond the chair has extended to an Adidas Campaign for Stan Smith, Youtube, Tribeca Film Festival, Stand Up for Heroes, New York Fashion Week, and Bust Magazine. A highlight in my career is to be noted as one of NYC’s best hairstylists by TimeOut NY Magazine.
When I’m not focusing on hair, you can find me hanging out with my very rambunctious Brussels Griffon, Igor. As a Gen-Xer and a recovering goth kid, I have a penchant for nostalgia and all things strange. Weird movies specifically from the 70's-90's and anything set in NYC is a must see for me.
